Understanding the GLCEs
The Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCE) were designed to ensure that students receive seamless instruction, from one grade to the next, leaving no gaps in any child's education. They were created to guide the design of the state's grade level MEAP texts required in the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) legislation. The high standards set forth in the GLCEs
